I have always loved playing basketball since I was 3 years old when I first picked up a ball. I have grown over the years and learned that basketball has various levels of play. It has been so exciting to learn how to become a better player at each level and learn new facets of the game of basketball. I have dreamed of playing at the collegiate level for a long time now. I have strong ball handling skills, soft hands, great shooter with the ability to create, good assist man and a high basketball IQ. I am a team leader that leads by example while also encouraging my teammates. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players for any team I am a part of. I really enjoy the game and have experienced the rewards of hard work and dedication throughout my High School career. I truly hope that I can play for a collegiate team that has a coach and teammates that can push me to excel at my very best. I want to compete at the highest level both on and off the court because I know if I can push myself in the classroom and on the court at the collegiate level, I am preparing myself for a very bright future.
Head Coach's Letter of Recommendation
To Whom It May Concern:
"I have known Aaron McCray for 3 years and he is a fine young man. I have known Aaron primarily through coaching him in basketball. He is a gifted player, one of the most, if not the most, talented young men I have had the privilege of coaching. Not only is he a gifted athlete but the attitude in which he carries himself amongst his peers on the court and off the court is one that other young men would do well to follow. Aaron is a very respectful young man and does not mind giving a helping hand to others. One will not be disappointed in offering Aaron an opportunity to succeed. I see Aaron as an asset to any organization that would give him an opening to excel."
