Aloha from Hawaii, my name is Jase Morita, and I am an aspiring scholar athlete. My personal goal in life is to pursue greatness and to be the best citizen I can be. Every person has an opportunity to influence positive changes in our community and environment. The only way to do that is to succeed at every level you can. It is important to take advantage of what is offered and given to you, and not to take things for granted. I have been fortunate enough to be supported by my parents in school and sports and it is my responsibility to turn their support into accomplishments. To be given the opportunity to play basketball at the collegiate level would be an amazing experience and provide me the tools to become a better leader, a socially responsible student, and a positive contributor to society. What makes me different from other recruits is the dedication I have to my teammates and team. It is very easy to get lost in the shuffle of wins, most points scored, and trying to be the best player on the team but without having the support of your teammates and coaches, all that does not matter. The relationships that I make with teammates is the most important aspect of my game. Playing team sports since I was three years old has taught me that the interactions and relationships created through playing sports is what will get you through tough and great times and more importantly will stick with you even after you stop playing sports. It is never just a player out there competing, it is your basketball family playing together as one.
