Eric Medenblik '17 Recruiting Profile

“Athleadership” is a large part of who I am, I strive to be a great leader on and off the court.  In school, I own a 3.99 GPA (out of 4.0), am a member of the National Honor Society, and the L.E.A.D. program, etc.  On the court, I was voted captain and aim to lead in speech and action, setting a good example for younger players to look up to. 

Ever since I could walk, basketball has been my passion and I work hard to showcase my love for the game.  This past year, I averaged 14.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game demonstrating how well-rounded my game is.  I have the ability to play and guard any position, further displaying my versatility.  On top of basketball, I play soccer, in which I was also awarded 1^st Team All-Conference.  I also play baseball, in which I was team MVP.  Beginning my high school basketball career, as a freshman, I received All-Conference Honorable Mention and Rookie of the Year awards.  Throughout my sophomore and junior year, I have continued to receive accolades including:  Team MVP, All-Conference Honorable Mention, First Team All-Conference, All-Area Honorable Mention, and finally 2^nd Team All-State for all of Illinois Christian Schools. 

Although I love and play multiple sports, basketball will always be my passion, and I would do nearly anything for this game.  For all of the reasons above, among others, I consider myself a great “athleader.”
