My name is Ridge Greenman. I am a 5'11'' Junior at Alwood High School. I play varsity basketball for the Ridgewood Spartans. This is a sports co-op with Cambridge High School and AlWood High School. I have been a starter for the varsity basketball team since my freshman year.
I enjoy running the team, as I primarily play point guard. I also play shooting guard. I have several different styles of play. I enjoy dishing the ball to teammates. I also am a very good slash player and a good three point shooter. I have scored 920 points during my varsity career. I also average around 6 assists per game, three steals, and five rebounds. I am looking forward to becoming the first men's player, in our co-op, to reach 1,000 points.
I have played AAU basketball for the Quad City Elite. Last year, I played AAU for the Illinois Blue Devils. I will once again play for the Illinois Blue Devils this summer. This summer, I will also participate in numerous summer league games, and shoot outs, for my varsity team the Ridgewood Spartans.
The last three years, I have been named to the all conference academic team in basketball. I have also been named to the all academic team in football and baseball all three years.(Recently named to all academic team in football and basketball Junior year). My grades are very important to me. I work hard in school and on the basketball court. My sophomore year, I was named to the honorable mention all conference basketball team and honorable mention all Quad City area.
My goals for this year are for my team to win the Lincoln Trail Conference and win a Regional Championship. I also plan on putting a huge dent in reaching 1,000 points for my career.(Only need 80 points for 1,000). My other goals are to be named all academic all conference again and be named first team all conference and all Quad City area. I reached these two goals my Junior year and have the same goals for my senior season. I also have a goal of being named to the All-State team.
I feel I would be a great fit for a college program who wants to win or a great fit for a program that wants to start winning. I also want to have the support from a program that will help me earn my degree.
