Personal Statement
As a dedicated and hard-working student I will utilize every opportunity in high school to fully prepare for my college education. While in high school I hope to continually improve myself as a basketball player, working to balance my participation in athletics, extra-curricular activities, and maintaining my 4.0 GPA. This fall I reached one of my goals and achieved my Eagle Scout Rank in Boy Scouts. I have also been named an Illinois State Scholar.
Having been raised as an Illini fan, I plan to look at colleges that can offer a great academic and student life. I am very interested in the fields of advertising, interactive/digital media, and the animation/arts areas that would help me to achieve my lifelong career dream of working for Walt Disney Imagineering.
My passion for basketball started as a little kid and I believe that being able to play the sport in college would be a dream come true. The experience could really help me to achieve my career goals.
I continue to work to be a top student athlete and leader to prepare myself for my future.
