Hi, my name is Orestis Tsilipanos. I've been playing basketball since I was eight years old. I started in Panathinaikos BC academy for fun and was always competing against older kids. Due to the restrictions on sports during Covid-19, I decided to practice in my backyard until my parents found a super friend and basketball coach who convinced me to start again in the Melissia Basketball Club and their academies.
I am a 'coach player' and I am always looking for mistakes in the other team's movement and get the deflections. Playing basketball and participating in sports has taught me to cooperate with others, to be disciplined, and to respect others and myself.
Moreover , I was invited to join training sessions of the Greek National Youth Basketball Team, as part of the Hellenic Basketball Federation development program and was picked to compete in the Attica Basketball Club League (ΕΣKA), for my age group(2008). Moved to AENK BC (Nea Kifissia Team) in 2025 to strengthen my development as a player and expand the recruitment possibilities and opportunities. For my school (the prestigious Athens College ) I study hard and maintain a high grade average(>18 out of 20 - 3.7 GPA and above) . I am currently in the eleventh grade of high school (17 years old) and have so far passed in several math ( " Kangaroo ", " Games & Mathematics " and " PYTHAGORAS " ) and CTY( talent search program of Johns Hopkins University) competitions.
In Greece there are not Universities combining sports and studies. It's a big dream of mine to attend a college where I can excel both in the classroom and on the basketball court. I hope I can meet my objectives!

- Got a full sponsorship to attend the Camp of TrenchWork Sports visiting Athens Greece for 2023. Unfortunately, I was injured on the second day of the event and had to miss the rest of my training. I am, however, truly blessed for this opportunity.
