Ever since I was a little kid I was always engrossed by the sport of basketball. I’ve always looked forward to not only watching the games, but also playing the sport. In 2019 though I was diagnosed with pneumonia and had to go the A.I. Dupont. I stayed in the hospital for my birthday, and part of Christmas. But none of that stopped me. I heard that there was a league for kids my age at the time, and begged to sign up. All I wanted to do was play. Not only did I play that year in my weakest condition, I had to play with an inhaler in sight. That season flew by in no time. I played the whole season when i was needed, and eventually at the end of it I was selected for all-stars.
That drive for the game has never left me. I still play with my heart because that’s what the game is to me.
