Since I was a child, maybe 4 or 5, I would watch basketball with my parents. I loved watching the NBA as many others do, but I had a deep fascination with watching March Madness. There's something electric watching the whole school come together cheering and going crazy supporting their team. I can safely say that watching game after game of March Madness was where my dream of playing collegiate basketball was born.
I believe I will be a good asset to your school and team because I am driven and highly coachable. I have a clear vision of what I want to do and I strive hard to achieve it. I work very hard and I do whatever it takes to achieve my dreams. I make sure I work everyday because I know that a day missed is a day lost to someone who is at practice. It does not matter to me what time of day or night training calls, be it at 5am or midnight, I will be there because I believe the more time I put in, the more my dreams will become. I take every practice seriously as an opportunity to separate myself from others. I listen and take to heart what coaches say because I know they have more knowledge and experience than me. I was told many times by coaches and spectators that I am a smart point guard with good court vision and take accurate calculated passes to teammates and am able to create space and plays. I take my studies seriously as well because I know academics and athletics go hand in hand, one cannot be without the other.
A lot of people doubt me because they only see my height. What they don't see is my heart and how much of basketball is in it. My journey has not gone the way I have wanted it to go so far but it does not stop me from doing what I love to do best.
