My name is Caleb Hoilien and I am a junior at Hope Academy in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I have wanted to play basketball in college since I played on my first team in 4th grade, and I have worked hard to be in a position to achieve that. I played partly jv and partly varsity basketball in 8th and 9th grade, and I was a starter and a captain for varsity my 10th grade year. I love the sport and on any team that I am playing with I bring a coachable attitude and I learn quickly.
I have always done very well in school, and I make sure to prioritize school work at all times. I usually learn things very quickly, and enjoy helping classmates when they are falling behind. I am a natural leader and have been on the leadership team at my high school since freshman year. I like using this leadership to help classmates and teammates in school and basketball.
My goals for college are to continue doing well academically and to work hard and get better as a student athlete. I want to become a leader on the team that I am playing for and I want to compete. I am excited to grow as a leader and as a basketball player wherever I end up playing
