Josiah Hagblom '20 Recruiting Profile

Hello,

My name is Josiah Hagblom.  I am 14 years old and I attend Mound Westonka High School in Mound, Minnesota.  The team I play for is Mound Westonka White Hawks Basketball team.  The positions I play are Shooting Guard, and Power Forward.  My biggest strengths are driving to the basket, grabbing rebounds over opponents, being able to create my own space to shoot, and showing emotion on the court.  I love basketball and I am 100% dedicated to the sport.  It is my passion, and my dream and goal is to play in the NBA.  I believe that if I find the right coach, he can help me achieve my dream and goal.

Although basketball is my passion, I realize that it is not all about the sport.  In order to achieve my goal, it's about having a good education, maintaining good grades, and having a positive attitude.  That's why I put all my efforts into studying hard and maintaining the B honor roll.  

My determination comes from God and my Mother whom past away 8 years ago. My faith Is strong and I believe In my church. I read sport magazines, watch sports on TV, and I'm very knowledgeable about professional sport teams.  In my spare time I enjoy music, write lyrics, and also play drums.  I come from a very musical family.  I also love animals, there's a total of 8 pets in my whole family. My influence In the NBA are Stephen Curry, Kris Dunn, and Jeremy Lin.

Last year I received a one thousand dollar sponsorship from Stone Hill Reinsurance. They paid for all my basketball equipment and registrations. They chose me because I was doing very well Academically and Athletically, and because I was a very hard worker. 

In closing I would like to say I am looking forward to talking with college coaches with the ultimate goal of finding the right coach that will help me pursue my long term goals in basketball.
