Hi, my name is Mia Weaver, and I am a Junior at Mound Westonka High School in Minnesota. I fell in love with volleyball in 4th grade after we won the end-of-the-season championship, and I have been passionate about the game ever since. I am competing with Northern Lights Volleyball Club for the 6th consecutive year.
Since I was young, playing college volleyball has been a goal of mine, and I would love to be part of a collegiate team. I am driven and determined in the classroom and on the court and constantly work to improve daily. I always bring energy to everything I do and pride myself on being a loud and effective communicator on the court. I love a good challenge, am very competitive, and am always willing to do extra work to improve. Every coach I have played for said that I am a very coachable player and a leader on the court in both practice and games. I am honored to have been awarded the MVP on my high school varsity team for the second year in a row. I am an intelligent hitter with various powerful shots and dominant from both pins. I also have a wicked float serve that is tough to pass, and I led my varsity team in aces two years in a row. Outside the gym, I do additional strength and agility training and always strive to become a stronger, faster, and more powerful hitter. I would be a great asset to your future team and look forward to connecting with you to see how I can contribute to your program.
