Personal Statement

Growing up in Minnesota, hockey is a big part of every family’s life.  Whether you play, watch or volunteer your time at the rink, every community here has a strong relationship with the sport of hockey. I have been playing hockey since the age of three on the frozen lake in my backyard.  Now in my  Sophomore year of high school, I am starting to think about hockey opportunities beyond my graduation in 2022.  I have learned so much on and off the ice over the years and look forward to carrying my hockey career into college.

As I look forward to college, my goal is to explore a business major that will position me well for an MBA program or international business opportunity.  On the ice, I plan to be a dynamic player and be able to contribute as positive leader and influencer on the team.  I will work hard physically and mentally to be a valuable asset to the defensive line-up. Between my work ethic (on and off the ice) and my ambition to succeed and contribute at the university level academically and through hockey, I am confident I can be a valuable contributor to your hockey program.

  • CCM High Performance
  • 3 years
  • The CCM Minnesota Hockey High Performance programs are designed to identify and develop the best players ages 14-18 in Minnesota and to provide the top players from each district or section a chance to play with and against the best players in their area and the state. The CCM High Performance Spring programs, formerly Advanced, are conducted in conjunction with USA Hockey and are referred to as “Select” programs in other parts of the country. These programs provide players the opportunity to advance to national festivals/camps which are used by USA Hockey to identify the top performers in each age group for possible opportunities to represent the U.S.A. at advanced levels of national and international hockey competition. Spring HP tryouts begin in March. The CCM High Performance Tier I Leagues offer players with a fall development league, featuring an emphasis on local training and a minimum of 15 games against the top competition in Minnesota and across the country. Teams also have the opportunity to compete for a chance to represent Minnesota at USA Hockey's Tier I National Championships. HP Tier I Leagues tryouts begin in August.

By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
