Jiro Basabas '24 Recruiting Profile

 I have a dream of making it big in basketball. And going to college has been a goal of mine. The long-term goal is to give back to my parents for all they have done and to me, basketball is a good way to be able to that. I am a very hard worker, loyal and coachable. I have great communication skills and work very well with others. I try my best in everything I do, but I also put studies and school ahead of everything. I am not only a good teammate but I also make sure I play my role in the classroom as well.  I am dedicated and willing to do whatever it takes to become part of a team and achieve great things. Although this pandemic has set back a lot of things, I did everything I could with what I had to make sure that I keep my game and grades up. I plan on making sure that I am able to give back to my parents for what they have done for my brother and I and I am hopeful and confident that basketball will be the way I am able to do that.
