Jacob Conway, Junior at Paul V. Moore High School in Central Square, NY. (16yrs old)
I have played basketball since I was 5 years old, both for my school and travel AAU teams. I have attended multiple basketball camps and clinics over the years along with many hours of at home training. My love and passion for the game is second to none. A few other school sports I play are Golf, Soccer, LAX and Outdoor Track (Pole Vault & High Jump).
I just completed my Junior year on the Varsity Basketball Team. I play point guard, shooting guard and small forward, whatever the coach needs on the floor, I'm able to adapt. I am looking forward to my upcoming Senior year, proving my skills and earning my spot on our Varsity Basketball team. Currently I am playing on various AAU teams but focusing more on my skills and weight room this "off season". I am a very hard worker and never give up, always maintaining a great attitude no matter the situation. I am a great defender, on or off the ball. Often opposing coaches will compliment me after games. I believe this says a lot about my character and how I conduct myself.
School work is also very important to me, I am on Honor Roll every marking period. Without good grades and taking the time to study, there would be no basketball. My parents and coaches have taught me that school work comes first, if you want to be a good leader you have to lead in all aspects. I work very hard to be the "example".
I would love an opportunity to attend a college where I am able to play basketball. I'm excited to find the perfect fit for me as a student athlete!
