Logan Green '24 Recruiting Profile

I’m Logan Green - a 17-year-old Senior at The Churchill School in New York and will be graduating in June 2024. I realized my love for basketball very early on from both playing and watching the game. I have been playing basketball since I was 4 years old, and I LOVE everything about it! People often tell me that I have an uncanny memory when it comes to the history of the game and details about players.

I have played on AAU teams since I was 7 years old and since I’ve always been tall for my age in the past Coaches typically selected me to play center, although I have played Center and Forward. In addition to my height (currently 6’ 5”) and weight (230 lbs), I have extremely strong court vision and the ability to anticipate player’s moves. All of my coaches have told me how easy I am to coach and that I have a great demeanor. I maintain a positive attitude and keep myself mentally and physically ready at all times. When I step into the gym, I am consistently trying to make myself AND my team better.

Due to the pandemic, my high school unfortunately did not have a season for 2020-2021; however, we had a good season in both 2021-2022 and 2022-2023.  I have started every single game, and my game high is 25 points!  My AAU team is Loyal To The Game. I realized a long time ago that in order for a team to be successful – we must always work together. As an individual, we need to make certain sacrifices to realize our goals. That means pushing hard in basketball, and also with our academics. Being a student-athlete has helped me learn how to prioritize my school and work life and how important it is to be organized, in order to achieve my goals.

My cumulative GPA is approximately a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. I am currently undecided about what I will major in college but will definitely be pursuing a four-year degree. My goal is to attend a school with both a challenging academic program and a strong basketball program, as I really hope to play basketball at the college level.
