As the only boy and youngest of seven in a sports-loving family, many of my memories growing up revolve around watching, cheering and competing on fields and courts. A three-sport athlete, I play basketball, football and baseball and have learned so many different and important life lessons through each sport. I appreciate the opportunities I have been given to foster my love of sports throughout my life and recognize God has blessed me greatly with my athletic talent. This knowledge pushes me to develop and increase my abilities every single day. Along with my desire to improve as an individual, I prioritize being a leader on and off the court. I use my voice to build others, increase teamwork and execution, ensure others feel valued. While a fierce competitor drives me, I have found being humble and friendly is crucial to being a good teammate and coachable player.
Academically I have a great record. Scholastic success is important to my life goals but not all subjects have come easy at all. I work extremely hard in the classroom and I have never thrown in the towel, even when the going got really tough. I have pushed myself to truly learn and take hard classes at times when it was important to my growth as an individual. My struggles and efforts are paying dividends because I am learning what it takes to have a successful college career academically.
My intense determination to continue to build myself athletically and grow my skill set on the court and field and lead with a humble confidence drives me to continue to improve as an athlete and teammate. I work hard, with my eyes up, so I can seize opportunities to build myself and build others on and off the court and field.
