My collegiate goals and apsirations have always been to attend a Division I or II college majoring in Engineering and playing the game of basketball and/or baseball. I would be an amazing candidate for any team due to my leadership skills, basketball knowledge and ability to make big plays in crucial moments. I played all sports, basketball (point guard), baseball (all positions including pitcher) and football (QB) since I was four years old but decided to concentrate on my passion, basketball, when I graduated from middle school. Unfortunately the onset of COVID caused two years of dorminacy which resulted in zero basketball playing time or development. Despite the set back, I worked during the summer of 2022 resulting in the weight loss totaling over 70 pounds. I tried out for at that time the State Champions, Highland Springs High School, and made the varsity team. The beginning of my season didn't include a lot of playing time but did change midway through the season. I was able to demonstrate my defensive abilities along with shooting skills by scoring over 20 points in a game which resulted in playing time during our playoff games.
At the end of the school season I immediately moved onto the AAU season where I have the opportunity to play for three teams, World Ballers (16u), Circle Select (16u and 17u). My performance in four consecutive AAU tournaments on the 17u level has rewarded me with being recognized as "Player of the Game" due to my offensive, defensive and shooting ability (25 points in a game). Circle Sports 17u has been fortunate enough to win our last 5 tournaments due to teamwork, coaching and leadership. My current AAU coach, Jack Hilliard, has seen so much potential in me that he has offered an opportunity to play with his associated high school in the local area.
Outside of my athleticism, my academic performance has been consistently above average throughout my entire school career. I currently have a 3.8 GPA and as of last year ranked 88 out of over 400 students. I have manintained this exceptional level of academic performance while taking advanced, honors and college prep core classes. My opportunity to play basketball on an elite level is very important me and I am willing to do whatever it takes to get to achieve that goal.
