As a student athlete, I learned to balance activities from an early age. I have always worked towards becoming the best diver I could, learning how to accept failure and grow from it. Through my high school career, I have been inducted into the National Honor Society, have received High honor roll throughout my three years, have been given various student of the quarter awards, and of most recent, I have received the Hobart and William Smith college book award. As a diver, I have qualified for the New York State Championship the past three years, making state finals this past year placing 18th overall. As I make my way into college, my biggest goal is to improve as a diver. In recent years I have come to realize the impact diving was had on my life, and I cant begin to think of leaving it. College is also a place in which I hope to further enhance my education and discover a new field of study. After being team captain this past year as a junior, I have gained a greater sense of what it means to be a team, and I am willing to do all I can to make the most out of my college career.
