Personal Statement
I started playing golf when I was 13 and developed a passion for the sport. When i turned 14, I played everyday I could. The highlight of my career was winning back to back JR. Club championships, and getting Player of the Year points in tournaments this summer. Golf is my passion and I look forward to developing into a highly competitive collegiate player.
I am very consistent and I perform well. There are a couple things I need to work on in my game, and over the course of the coming months I will work intensely to improve my game. In September I started working with the head pro, Allen Belden, at Worcester Country Club in MA.
In the classroom I would consider myself a quiet leader and average a 3.55 GPA taking AP Honors Physics and History. I also take part in many extra curricular activities at my school. As a student athlete, many have guided me along the way and they have all been very good mentors whether it be teachers or coaches each have changed my perception of sport and academia, and I am very grateful for that.
Playing golf at a high level is an ultimate dream of mine, as well as getting a quality education. I am very persistent in any task I undertake, and will do the tasks necessary to get myself to the next level, whether it be athletics or academics.
