4.2 GPA. I have been admitted to the National Honor Society and I just recently successfully ran for student VP of my school.
Dear Coaches - My name is Rhys Burgess and I love golf. I love the uniqueness of every course, the competitive nature of the game, and the self-reliance it promotes. I am a junior and the number one seed and captain of my school golf team at Indian Hills Highschool; last spring I achieved third place in the individual championship for my county, which is very competitive. Self-motivation and perseverance are definitely two of my most descriptive attributes. Ever since I swung my first club at the age of two, and soon after I played my first tournament, around age 7, I knew golf was the sport I wanted to play all my life. My game is improving all the time and I'm looking to take it as far as I can, with the ultimate goal of playing on the PGA Tour.
Like my junior golf career, I am very dedicated in the classroom. I am a straight-A student and always get my work done that I missed because of a golf match. I currently have a 4.17 GPA and aim to be at the top of my graduating class.
I will be a 4 year member of the business club, DECA. I was recently named to my school's board after qualifying for the state finals.
Being an active member of the Interact club, I help out the community and love doing so. I also volunteer, through my county golf association, to teach underprivileged and disabled kids how to play golf, which is awesome
I'll play 4 years of HS varsity soccer too and will be a captain in my senior year. It is a lot of fun and I really enjoy the team element; however, having a superstar college golf career, while achieving a prominent business degree is my focus.

- ActivitiesI'm a DECA board member, a national business club, in which I have competed in the state completion. I volunteer at INTERACT, a community service club. For example, we recently raised money for victims affected by the storms in Kentucky. I am going into my fourth year of caddying at Greenbrook CC and I have built up quite a following! In the winter I am a snowboard instructor at a local mountain named Campgaw Mountain.
