Ever since I could walk, I’ve loved the game of golf. My dad’s parents own a nine-hole golf course, so it was only natural that my parents bought me a set of clubs when I was just a year old. Little did they know I’d end up being a lefty—but only for golf. After destroying a set of right-handed clubs, I got my first lefty set at age two. From then on, I played everywhere: in the yard, inside the house, and on the course every chance I got.
What started as a childhood interest quickly turned into a lifelong passion. Golf is what I think about from the moment I wake up until I go to bed. During the summer, I play as many holes as possible before the sun sets. I’ve been on the varsity golf team since 7th grade and have grown into a leadership role. I believe in encouraging younger and less experienced players, especially those who may not have had the same opportunities I’ve had. I’m often told I’m a natural teacher, especially when working with younger kids learning the game.
While I’ve also played soccer, tennis, basketball, and snowboarded each winter at our local mountain, nothing compares to golf. My passion goes far beyond the regular season. I’m incredibly fortunate that my parents opened a three-bay indoor golf simulator business, which allows me to play year-round.
Since 8th grade, I’ve had one clear goal: to play collegiate golf. I’ve worked hard not only on the course but also in the classroom, staying after school and seeking extra help from teachers to improve my academic performance. I know I’ll be a valuable addition to a college golf team—not just because of my skills, but because of my dedication, leadership, and drive. This is my dream, and I can’t wait to chase it.
