Aidan Ungtrakul '25 Recruiting Profile

My Mom signed me up for my first golf lesson at 6 years old.  Throughout the coming years I went to summer camps at Reston National Golf Course and 1757 Golf Course.  I started playing with the Jr. PGA program at 1757 with Scott Holmes when I was 9.  I remained on that team until the end of Summer 2023. I made the 1757 All Star Team multiple times and helped my team get through Sectionals and qualify for Regionals.

During my time with the Jr. PGA, I started playing tournaments with US Kids Golf as well as The Junior Tours powered by Under Armor.  Once I entered high school I tried out for the golf team. I made Varsity both my Freshman and Sophomore year. Both years we went to States and placed in the top 5.  I started playing more two-day tournaments with the BJGT and other various golf associations. The highlight of my golf career so far was when I shot a 77 and qualified for the WV Amateur Open, the summer of 2023. Playing in the WV Open was a great experience and one I will soon not forget.

When I was 15, I landed my first job at Cress Creek Country Club as a cart boy. I picked up the job quickly and was not only making money but had access to playing golf for free before and after my shifts. I am still employed at Cress Creek. When I am not playing golf, I am working out, playing basketball and hanging out with my family and friends.

My goal is to earn my degree in Business/Sports Management and go work for the PGA. Golf for me is a way of life and I would love to stay connected with the sport throughout my career.
