Gregory Maggio '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Gregory Maggio,  I am a Goaltender playing in the Province of British Columbia, in the PCAHA Association.   I have played Rep Level Hockey since I was 9 years old.  I have played as a Goaltender since I was 7 years old, playing full time at the age of 9.  Highlight Season was  2011-2012 was one of the best seasons of Hockey so far, playing on Cloverdale Minor Hockey Association's Bantam AAA team (Cloverdale Colts) and we had an amazing season.  Winning 4 Tournaments, Finishing 2nd in League Play and winning the Final Four Playoff Banner.  To end the season we went on a 34 game no loss streak and 32 game winning streak only to lose out a Provincal Championship berth in our last game of the season losing to our Arch Rival the Burnaby Winter Club.  

I have been lucky to have my own goalie coach since I was 7,  my Dad who has been a major influcence in not only my training, but  as a mentor and coach since I started playing hockey at the age of 5.  I have been able to draw from his experiences as a goalie coach and also from his time playing Eurpoean Pro in Italy for 8 years and after retireing he has been a Goalie Consultant helping others attain their goals as both goalies and individuals, as their mentor. 

My goal is to play at the highest level I can and hopefully combine this with education and attain a scholarhsip to a NCAA University and ultimatley maybe an opportunity to play Professional Hockey - NHL and even follow my heritage to Europe.  My parents are both from Europe, my Dad Italy and my Mom England and could combine my love of the game to travel and  an eductation.
