Tristan Allen '21 Recruiting Profile

I am a self motivated hardworking person in all aspects of life especially when it comes to athletics and reaching my long term academic goals. I've played at the top level in hockey most of my life and feel this has taught me great respect for the game and the dedication it takes to achieve such status. These lessons have also given me the motivation required to achieve well above average marks in school to date. My love for hockey is my passion but also realize that we have to prepare for life and feel working to a goal of both College hockey and academics i can have the best of both worlds. I have won the best defenseman award both as a 15 year old in the Minor Midget league U16 and as a 16 year old in the Major Midget League U18 this past season. On both these teams i was voted in as Assistant Captain for my leadership roles within our team. My attention to detail in the rink and at school enhances my ability to succeed at both. Two key attributes i've been told by many coaches and scouts is that my hockey sense and skating are two things that are very hard to teach at this level and i excel at both. I think i would be a great asset to any team looking for a solid heads up, great skating defenseman that can make that essential first pass out of the zone.
