I am a Junior at Gonzaga College High School, located in Washington DC. I've always wanted to play hockey in college, so I decided to stop playing Water Polo and Rugby in order to focus entirely on hockey at the end of my sophomore year. I have been playing tier 1 AAA hockey since the 10th grade for Team Maryland. I am looking to see where hockey can take me in the future whether it be though a College or a job.
I am different from many other recruits because, while playing Tier 1 AAA club hockey, I also played water polo for 2 years, varsity hockey for 3 years (I was just was nominated captain for next year's Varsity team), and Varsity rugby for 2 years. I also have been working towards the Eagle rank in Boy Scouts and plan on achieving this rank by November of my senior year. Academically, I have made All Academic Honors since the 9th grade and have maintained a 3.5 GPA or higher every year. I took 2 honors classes in the 9th grade, 3 honors in the 10th, and 2 honors and an AP class as a junior, and I plan to take 2 AP's and 1 honor class as a senior. I am constantly pushing myself on the ice and in the classroom. I would be a valuable asset for any team because I am truly a team player, and I always give my very best at every game or practice. I play center and am a power forward who is not afraid to go into the corners and get the puck, playing gritty hockey.
I received MAPHL first team my freshman year, and have just received All Met Honors for this past season.
