Declan McMahon '24 Recruiting Profile

Thank you for taking the time to review my profile.  My ultimate goal go to a D1 college and get my degree in business.  While I am in college, I would also like to play D1 hockey.  I am aware that there are many steps to get there and the past 3 years I have taken those steps.  I am a hard working center, but also very versatile and play both wings as needed.  I am first line PK and I am utilized on the PP as well.  Off the ice, I maintain a solid 3.7 GPA (out of 4.0) and I also volunteer with a childhood cancer organization called Connor's Hope that delivers Bags of Hope to kids who have been affected by this deadly disease. Connor's Hope was started by my older brother Connor who was been diagnosed three times with leukemia before he was 16.  He is now cured at 22 and playing hockey in a Mens league after competing for Ole Miss on their Club Team.  My older brother Sean also plays for Lindenwood University in Missouri. 

I am a very coachable player that is very aware of the team concept.  Coaches have told me that I am the most "full ice" player they have on the team. For me, the team always comes before the individual.  I look forward to the opportunity to grow within an organization that helps me reach my full potential.
