My name is Luke MacDonald. I have been playing recreational ice hockey and inline hockey for almost four years. I played on the Junior Everblades U16 A for half of the 2018-2019 Regular Season. This was my first experience in a competitive, full-contact league. My personal skills coach, Johnny Pelletier at the time was also the head coach of that team, but is now the head coach of the USPHL Florida Jr. Blades. He saw how quickly my skills were progressing and offered me a starting position. I progressed as the season went on and began playing more physically and adopting the Enforcer style of play. I suffered a concussion in the SAHOF Semi-finals, but have been working nonstop to regain my abilities and progress to higher skill levels. Every one of my coaches has complimented me on my work ethic, willingness to learn and improve, my grit, tenacity, and overall passion for the game of hockey. I have not participated in any other full-contact leagues, due to the lack of support from my parents, but I am determined to resume competitive hockey even if I have to pay myself. My inline teammates can also testify to my increased skills and physical play. Brennan Martin, a student-athlete who attended the same school as me and tried out for the University of Central Florida's Men's Ice Hockey Team told me about this website and suggested that I register, so I did. I am looking to continue my development and forward my hockey career with either a College or Junior team that is searching for a hard-working, never quit, persistent hockey player.
