Before I moved to Chicago in 2010, I lived in Boston where my dad had a rule that you had to at least learn to skate in my family. This really influenced me to go and learn to skate and eventually brought me my love of hockey. I am fortunate enough to be able to go to a very good school that is associated with the University of Chicago and also be able to play hockey. My goal is to be able to play college hockey and get a degree. I love getting up into an offensive play even though I play defense. I also play right back on my high school soccer team, and I think this gives me the chance able to be really vocal in both sports because I’m able to see the whole field/ice surface. I think that I’m very hard working on and off the ice, and I love any opportunity to play hockey.
