Personal Statement
Hello My name is Nsonsa Elombe Kisala, yet I prefer to be called by my middle name Elombe. I am currently a junior at Hackensack High School and have been playing Ice Hockey at the varsity level since my sophomore year. When it comes to skating, I am very quick on my feet and wherever the puck is, i am usually close by. Whether it be carrying the puck up ice into the offensive zone, sacrificing my body to block a shot, or battling for the puck down low in the corner. I have been told by my coaches and peers that I show great improvement and determination in the sport and have what it takes to play at the college level. I am a fast learner and can play whatever position my coaches decides to place me, for I do whatever it takes play the game efficiently and win. When it comes to academics, school comes first before sports in my family. I am an A and B student and the word "average" is not in my vocabulary. I am not the best player, yet when I am both on the ice and in school, I give 100% of my best.
