Personal Statement
My name is Onyinyechi Obelle, and a current senior at Hackensack High school. I have been running competitvely for four years, and I would like to continue running in college as well. I am 5"1' tall and weigh approximately 100lbs. I am a distance runner; I run the 800m, mile, 1600m, 2 miles, 3200 m. I prefer the mile though.

- 4 years of running both Cross Country and Track & Field
- 1st team all league (2011-2012)
- 2nd team all league (2009-2010, 2010-2011)
- 2nd team all county (2011-2012)
- MVP (2010-2011 and 2011-2012)
- Cross Country League Champion (2011-2012).
I was a Cross Country team co-captain for the years 2010-2011 and 2011-2012. I rarely miss practice unless it's an emergency and I make sure to take care of my injuries as soon as it occurs
My desired major is Medicine. As a college freshman, I want to focus more on my mileage and to increase my endurance. I want to be challenged more often, and I would like to participate in big meets such as States and Nationals if possible.
