Personal Statement

My goal is to play hockey at the highest level possible, I am focused and have often been told that an outstanding feature of mine is my work ethic and dedication on and off the ice. There's more to me than just hockey, as a scholar I have received a graduating GPA of 3.9 as well as excelling in music throughout my high school career. I am artistic and creative, adding to my ability to be coachable as a hockey player. Dedication to community service and giving back has been something I enjoy and take pride in even after high school. In my spare time, I volunteer with on-ice coaching of goalies within the youth hockey organization as well as Try Hockey For Free Days. I also work at a hockey training facility that betters the Portland Jr. Winterhawks Organization as well as the Portland Winterhawks (WHL).   For the past year I have had the unique opportunity to play as an American in the Canadian Pacific Junior Hockey League.  Living abroad has been challenging, humbling and a once in a lifetime experience I will never forget!
