I’m Jaylen Mendez, I live in Laredo,Tx where you wouldn’t expect a kid like me to play hockey. I’ve been playing since I was 5. Ever since, I’ve fallen in love with the game and always have. Since hockey was no longer in Laredo, I took a 7 year gap from playing the sport I love until I found an opportunity playing in San Antonio for my senior year of high school. I got the opportunity to play ACHA D1 and D2 for Roosevelt University in Chicago. Currently I stepped away and came to play juniors in Austin, Texas with the Ice Bats. I plan to get new opportunities playing the game I love.
