Rodion Starostin '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches, 

I am competitive and patient. I strive in competitive environments whether in an academic setting or in athletics. I am a leader, but do not shy away from grunt work. I participated in challenging activities such as Model UN, the Wharton College Global Competition, various hockey tournaments, and I also took the initiative in teaching a class through a program in my school. When our team has a hockey game, I usually talk to my teammates to energize and inspire them. I like a role of a dispatcher since the games are won when the team is organized and the players play in sync. Outside the sport, my interests are business and finance and it is my goal to play for a university team, where I can grow both academically and continue my hockey journey. Specifically, I am interested in learning how large companies operate and how taxation of large businesses works. Also I am interested in how the stock market operates and the processes involved with investment banking. On the ice I would prefer to play club or ACHA as I would like to balance my sports and my academics.
