Maddox Wood '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello coaches, my name is Maddox Wood, and I am currently a junior attending Barneveld High School in Barneveld, Wisconsin. This upcoming 2024-25 high school hockey season I will be playing for Sauk Prairie high school with our co-op that we have with the school, it will be my 2nd year playing for the team. Last year I was lucky enough to be able to get solid jv and varsity playing time, while having two older goalies ahead of me. With my playing time last season I was able to get more varsity minutes than jv minutes, having 3 total varsity starts and being put in in the middle or end of a couple of games. I also have experience playing against and with AAA and junior league level players through a NAHL pre draft camp.

I'm passionate about fitness and weightlifting, and I run high school track in the spring. I'm committed to year round hockey through club teams, goalie camps, and dry-land training. My goal is to play hockey at the collegiate level, either that being club, or division one to division three. 

My academic interests are in the areas of sports, business, and social studies. I'm open to exploring collegiate hockey opportunities anywhere in the country.
