My journey began during my 2nd semester of freshman year where I felt that I wasn’t doing enough and at this point I hadn’t even heard of lacrosse before. As I tried to keep myself in shape I noticed the lacrosse team practicing and I was intrigued. I figured I had the perfect opportunity to begin something new. After I spoke with the coach and did some research into the sport, I began practicing with the team. As the season progressed our defense struggled as a result to various injuries and ineligbilities, this is when I got called up to play as a defenseman where I quickly adapted to my role and became a starter on varsity. I focused on the aspects of my skill set which I knew I could apply. I desperately wanted to get better, signing up for camps and joining club teams. I kept pushing myself by outworking others on the field and outmatch my opponents in effort while being the most coachable player that I can be. I listen well, learn fast, highly determined, competitive, and I will not be outworked without giving it my best.
