Cole Danner '19 Recruiting Profile

Thank you for taking time out of your day to read my personal statement.  Its been a great summer of lacrosse as I was nominated to two All Star Teams at summer showcase/prospect camps. (Top 100 rising Stars and Tampa Prospect Camp).  Read on for a little more about my lacrosse experience. 

I have grown up with a love for being active and playing competitive team sports.  I've played a variety of sports starting at the age of 5 but when I started playing lacrosse, I knew that this was the sport that I wanted to pursue vigorously.  Over the last 8 years in various club/travel and on my high school team, I have experienced playing both sides of the ball as a defenseman, attack, and midfielder and in the last 3 years I have trained hard to become a starting Face off midfielder which is where I am most effective as our Junior Team MVP 2018 on my High School Varsity Lacrosse team.  I currently take all Face offs for my team and stay on the field to play both sides of the ball.  My love for the game of lacrosse has made me a well-rounded player as I have experience playing many positions extremely well.  This past year, I have trained vigorously to increase in my size and stamina which is paying off this season.  Additionally,  I've gone to a few camps to become better at faceoffs as well.  

I believe that I would be a great fit for any Division 1,2, or 3 collegiate lacrosse team.  I work well with others and am a selfless leader on and off the field.   I can transition to many different places on the field because of my extended experiance in many positions.  This also allows me to understand my opponents during play to adjust, strategize, and dominate on the field.  I have a very high lacrosse IQ and and am excited to get better and make the team better!

I am a hard working student athlete as I have the discipline to exceed greatly off the field with my academics and currently hold a solid 3.61 cummulative GPA after my Junior year.  I have a strong work ethic and show up strong on and off the lacrosse field.  I balance school, lacrosse, service hours, and a part time job.  I invite you to come watch me play and contact me so I can tell you more about myself and my college career aspirations to be a valuable student athlete for your program.
