Prior to living with my current family, I had not been able to be part of an organized sport or team. I had moved quite a bit within Shelby County, Kentucky, and had attended four different elementary schools. Transportation to and from practices had not been possible. Shortly after I came to live with Tom and Melissa Wells, they signed me up for a parks and rec soccer league and encouraged me to join band (because I drummed on everything in the house). I quickly discovered I loved sports and percussion. I thrive on pushing myself, learning new skills, and on competition.
I found and fell in love with Lacrosse my freshman year of High School. It is hard to explain, but as soon as I picked up a Lacrosse stick and started practicing with the team, it just felt right. Lacrosse is where I can focus my mind and my energy to become a better player and a better person. I didn’t score at all my Freshman year, but ended my Sophomore season with 46 goals. My background has taught me to be resilient and to take full advantage of every positive opportunity presented to me. I am fiercely loyal and will fully support my team and coaching staff.
