I love the game of lacrosse. My goals are to be a part of a competitive lacrosse program, where I can contribute to the team's success. I'm interested in being a part of a team that wants to work hard to continually improve at the highest level. As important as it is for me to find a program where I fit best, it is equally important for me to be in an environment where academics are prioritized as well. I know that with my interests in engineering, architecture, and math that my academics will be demanding, but I don't want it to be easy.
I will bring leadership to the defense in any program as I have with my high school and club teams. I have been told that playing lacrosse goalie is crazy, but I tell them there is no better feeling than when you make a great save with the game on the line boosting the energy and intensity of my team. My leadership style is intense and encouraging and I'm able to put bad plays behind me. This has contributed to my success and will continue to be a helpful as I play in college.
I am also an excellent student with a 3.7 GPA (if I had not taken Latin 4 it would be higher!), I take AP classes, and am in an Engineering Pathway. I was recently accepted into the National Honor Society, and I am a multisport athlete - I've played Varsity soccer since sophomore year.
In addition to my academics and sports, I am an active member of my church youth group and have participated in many volunteer activities as part of the group. The most memorable has been a weeklong mission trip to a poor area of West Virginia, where I was able to really make a difference helping this community. Being able to give back to my community is extremely important to me, whether that is though mission trips, other volunteering, and coaching of young lacrosse and soccer players.
I know I will work hard and contribute to building the success of any college lacrosse program that matches my commitment, intensity, and love of the sport.
