Matthew DeLeon '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Matthew I have been playing for around 3 years now. I am described as disciplined, physical, coachable, and competitive. I started playing lacrosse in my basement with a used stick and instantly fell in love with the sport. Every single day I would go out and practice on the wall, watch videos, learn new skills, and truly commit to playing lacrosse. Even through all of the training I was able to maintain a spot in a high level swim club while taking academically challenging courses. I strongly believe that my swimming experience has elevated my physical ability on the felid. 

One of my proudest moments was my first forced turnover. The feeling of winning the ball back for my team was a feeling like no other and can’t be replicated anywhere else. Another time I would like share was when during my sophomore year I managed to make several collegiate recruits have their all time least goals scored in a game; I was awarded at the end of the season with first team for the county and division in defense.
