Nicholas "Augie" Johnson '20 Recruiting Profile

I am interested in entering in the pre-med and biology fields and eventually getting a Ph.D. to become a doctor. I believe that I take leadership wherever possible and push myself and others as hard as possible to success and a higher level of play. When I first started playing lacrosse, I was 11.  While I played on the regular town team, I was cut from my select youth team. This motivated me to work as hard as possible in the gym, playing wall-ball, playing in the off-season, and working hard especially in practice. Because of this moment when I was 11, I still challenge and push myself to this demanding level of work ethic. I believe that I have grit and will out-hustle anyone to gain an edge in competitions.

Last year, I suffered an Achilles injury that prevented me from playing most of my season. I worked and worked and worked, attending physical therapy and focusing on getting healthy again. When I got hurt, it made me realize how much I love this sport, how much I want to play. This year, I will be as hungry as ever, focused doing my best with and for my team every game.
