Hello coaches,
My name is John-Michael Hougham and I have my calling in the sport of Lacrosse. My father also loved the sport and played 4 years for Brookline High in Massachusetts and earned a full ride scholarship 1983 in which he turned it down in order to enlist in the United States Marine Corps to serve his country! Needless to say his coaches were mad at him but he wanted to go into the Marines since he was 10 years old and he became a 2nd Force Recon Marine instead. I am following in my father's footsteps in which he is now encouraging me to go to college with this sport. I hope I can with God's help! It is way more competitive now but I have speed and agility on my side.
My college aspirations are to play the sport for the college that notices that I put forth 100% in each and every game and practice. I am very fast and swift at handling my stick and whipping in goals. I am a great candidate as I put in a good days work as was taught to me by my father and mother at a young age and you never give up or quit.
What makes me different than other recruits is that my foundation is rooted in Christ, who I draw my strength from. Prayerfully, I ask Him to help me do my personal best in each and every tournament. My character is such that I am honest, a leader and someone you can always count on doing a thorough job in whatever is placed in front of me. I don't follow the crowd and am serious about doing well academically in college for my future. I care about life and doing what God directs me to. Right now that is lacrosse! My high school does not have lacrosse as it is very small Catholic school but I play what is offered which is soccer and basketball at the D3 level and I excel at both. My love is lacrosse and in order to play it I tried out for Rising Stars, a travel team year round, made it and that is how I am continuing my goal towards playing in college. Thank you for your time.
