My passion is to play college lacrosse. As I enter my sixth season this fall, I look forward to the opportunity to build on skills, strengthen my core, and continue to improve both my speed and my stamina. Even though I commit an extraordinary amount of time practicing, running, drills, working with other lacrosse coaches and playing for my school, I understand that my academics are just as important and have attained a 4.2 GPA as I end my junior year. I am 6’1”, 180 pounds, and I am committed to a cross – fit regimen that has helped me improve my overall strength.
I came to lacrosse a little later than most of my teammates. As a child of international parents, I had the privilege of living the first eleven years of my life in other countries. I was born in England, have family both in Germany and Nicaragua, and lives in many places around the world including Canada. It wasn’t until I moved to the United States at the age of twelve that I found my passion for lacrosse right here in Chapel Hill. What I lacked in experience I made up for in natural athleticism and commitment to be the best in a sport that I love. I made the Varsity Team as a sophomore before our season was cut short in Spring 2020.
I am passionate about playing attack and also have some experience at midfield because of the very different skills sets and strategies that each one requires. As midfielder, my height and speed are major assets. As attack, my quickness, intelligent play and strong shot with the ability to hit corners has made me more dangerous in the offensive zone with each passing year.
My goals are to be the most dominant and cunning attack player on the field, a strong leader, a reliable teammate, and the most effective communicator. I love causing chaos on the offensive end of the field, never allowing defenders to get comfortable, and working within our own disciplined attack formation.
This year, as a junior, I started every game and led the team in assists during the truncated “Covid Season of 2020.” I feel humbled by the support and guidance of my coaches who have helped to accelerate my growth both on the field and off. I continue to raise my own bar and push to improve each day. Nobody will outhustle me. I am motivated to pursue perfection in ever drill, every practice and each and every game. I have been raised to understand that reaching the top of your game requires an almost messianic commitment to giving all that I have both in practice and on my own time as I would give my all during actual games.
