Hello, my name is Janson Toler and I currently attend Canby High School in Canby, Oregon as a senior. In my spare time I love to play lacrosse, and I practice on a daily basis. I am very enthusiastic about the sport, and that is why I want to pursue playing in college. I first got started as an 8th grader when lacrosse first came to our town, but I believe after putting in so much time to understand the game and practice it, I can play with the kids who have been playing it their whole lives.
I am a 5'8" 155-pound attackman and I also play some middie. I am a varsity team captain and also lead my high school team in scoring and assists. I received 2nd team all-league honors my junior year, and was voted the MVP of my team. I offer my teammates the support they need on the field and try as hard as I can to set a good example for them every day. I believe my best qualities as a lacrosse player are how well I can see the field and find my teammates, and my quickness and speed on the field. I have also been working out consistently to put on more muscle and become a more physical player, to go along with the finesse aspect of the game.
I desire to go to a university where I can fit in to a lacrosse team and contribute to the team as much as I can. I don't have a preference in the size of school as long as I think it would fit me well. I want to be able to get a good education along with playing the sport I love. I have not made my final choice on a major, but I am leaning toward either a Graphic Design major, Film Production, or Engineering.
I want to make an impact on the team that I would play for and I believe this goal is attainable. I do want to get playing time as a freshman, and I understand there will be a lot harder competition to earn playing time. I would like to play at a competitive level and help my team succeed.
