Anthony Larock '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Anthony, but I go by Tony. I am a person that likes to be challenged. From a personal standpoint I enjoy being outdoors, as well as being active. I love to hunt and split wood for fires (heat for winter and seasonal bonfires). Even though I like to play on video games I would much rather be outside with my dog, at football, or with my lacrosse stuff. I am that person that will hold doors for people, as well as clean up the table after we are done eating.

I have been raised and believe strongly that education is way more important than sports. I enjoy going to school as I try to get more knowledge every day. I am a solid A to B+ student making honor roll nearly every marking period in every grade since the start of middle school. My favorite subjects in school are math and science. I am also a member of the schools’ concert and jazz bands, playing trumpet, which I started when I was in 4th grade. 

I have tried playing various sports in the past like baseball and soccer but fell in love with lacrosse and football. I played football for the last 10 years, including playing freshman ball from 7th-9th grade. I started playing lacrosse when I was 8 and goalie when I was 10. I love being a goalie because of the different challenges presented with being a goalie including being fully relied on as the only one in the crease. I like to play as an active goalie including going for groundballs when behind GLE. 

My goal in life is just to be a successful person. While I have not set my mind on a career major yet, a college that will be best for me will be one that has a quality educational program as well as good sports program. In college, I want to be pushed to get better both in the classroom and on the field.
