Hi my name is Sarah Meyers and I am apart of the class of 2024. I have been playing school volleyball for 4 years and club for 3. Ever since my first year I’ve been at the position of defensive specialist/ libero and have been working hard on my defensive skills over the years. My hard work has paid off in many ways, such as being apart of my varsity high school team my freshman and sophomore year; during my sophomore I helped my team make it the first round of districts. I am a very dedicated athlete that is always ready to work hard and play hard. As well as hardworking, I am very supportive and truly believe in the fact that volleyball is a team sport, so cheering on your teammates plays a huge role in having a successful team. Seeing how much my love for volleyball has grown in a short amount of time, made me want to play in college. The energy the game brings, the support from coaches and teammates, and the skill set is the reason I want to play in college.
As volleyball is very important me, I also am involved in many other activities. I am a triathlete; volleyball, basketball, softball and have been playing all of those sports for 4 to 9 years for school, travel, and rec leagues. Looking beyond sports I am very involved in school as well. I have a consistent gpa, take honors classes, and am apart of my high school concert band. Overall in my college search I am very open as of now, and just looking for a school that will fulfill my academic and athlete goals.
