Hello, my name is Liam McKinney. I am a multi-sport (lacrosse, ice hockey, football, cross country) athlete who loves the game of lacrosse. I have over 6 years of success in club and high school programs in Nebraska and Pennsylvania. I want to pursue playing college/NCAA lacrosse at the D1/D2 level while studying medicine or engineering at a top university in the country. I am also interested in going to a service academy. I am currently a sophomore at Seton LaSalle Highschool in Pittsburgh and this will be my second year starting on varsity as LSM. Along with my size and physicality, I bring a strong work ethic and leadership role even as a sophomore to my team. I love playing aggressive on ball defense especially in transitions. My coach always put me on the other teams' best offensive players because he had the confidence that I could shut them down and control the game. I strive to always be the hardest worker on and off the field. Everyday I do something to get better from hitting the wall after school to doing footwork drills and working out on my own. My goal for the 2025 season was to have over 50 ground balls and to improve my foot work in and out of practice. I did achieve both of these and even exceeded my goals, having the most ground balls of any defenseman on my high school team and making massive improvements in my 1v1 playmaking and team defense. This summer I want to continue growing by attending college skills and prospect camps. I will also be playing summer lacrosse with my club team too. I am really looking forward to becoming the best lacrosse player I can be by working hard every day to play college lacrosse.
