I am currently in grade 11 (junior in high school) and am a very driven and motivated student/athlete. I have been playing lacrosse for 9 years and am hoping to play for many more. I started playing box lacrosse and after a few years of that began to also play field lacrosse as an attack position as well as a goalie. I have played on as many competitive field and box teams as I possibly could like Team Sk and provincial travel teams, along with regular league teams. The teams I have played on have done well finishing a tournament or season with a medal and a lot of improvement and learning. I ref box and field lacrosse and have done that at a provincial level also. I love playing in a team setting and supporting my co-players and coaches.
My parents (who are my role models )taught me that school is super important and to strive to be the best I can academically and in life. My grades are quite good, sitting at a 91% (3.7 GPA) in grade 10 and 93% (4.0 GPA) in grade 11. I take my classes seriously and try my hardest to do well. I also have the goals to always improve on whether it be in sports, academics or life. I have played numerous sports but I enjoy lacrosse the best so that is why I am hoping to continue this journey.
I believe I am a very good person and want to continue being a team player, encouraging others and being a role model for younger generations but at the same time continuing my education. Like I said I am driven, motivated, respectful and hardworking. I am able to time management my sports, school and job and while doing that I feel I am still excelling.
I have been lucky enough to travel within Canada and most recently to the U.S with some of the teams I have been on winning multiple provincials title and other tournaments both in box and field, but I've always put my academics first. I also I have made so many memories, learned from many different coaches and teammates and met so many people over the years I am hoping for more opportunities.
