As a soccer player, my strengths are that I am fast and shifty, and I make it harder for defenders to anticipate my next move. I am also good at making runs behind in the middle and the final third. As a winger, I possess strong 1-on-1 skills and am confident when I have the ball in a counter-attacking situation. I am confident that opposing fullbacks and wingbacks will struggle to compete with me, both offensively and defensively.
I started playing soccer later than other players, even so I was able to join the Whitecaps MLS Academy after 2 years of playing soccer because of how I enjoyed and loved playing soccer. When I began my journey in soccer, I was merely a fast kid with no dribbling skills. However, after practice and games, I figured out what my weaknesses are and tried to improve in those areas. I was very competitive and ruthless to win every game. As a result, these traits helped me progress quickly, and this is why I am one of the unique players among all my peers. When I saw this process, the word that best describes me is `grit'.
In my future college life, I am eager to broaden my experiences by learning, engaging with diverse individuals, and embracing their perspectives. Additionally, I will find things that I need improvement on and make my weaknesses become my strengths.
I am confident that I will have high self-esteem and a positive attitude, which means that I can play a positive role in my team. Above all, I am confident in group life.
In terms of learning, my current high school is studying with the NCAA system, so I am confident that I can easily combine exercise and study.
As you can see in the word grit, which describes me, I will do my best in both my soccer and study with my boldness and perseverance. Furthermore, I have a natural motor nerve and brain.
As previously stated, despite starting soccer relatively late, I successfully joined the top team in British Columbia. This achievement is a testament to my unwavering commitment and a testament to the valuable experiences I have gained along the way. Vince Lombardi said that the difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of persistence. Like this quote, I have the confidence to persevere and achieve anything.
