I'm Cole Burstin, a starting Center Attacking Midfielder and Team Captain for Albion SC San Diego B09 MLS Next. We finished the U14 22/23 season ranking 4th of 21 teams in the highly competitive Southwest region, winning 23 matches. I am also a member of the Albion National Elite Team. My coaches say that I'm highly coachable, passionate about the game, a selfless teammate, and that my soccer IQ and leadership are some of my best attributes.
In the summer of 2023, I played in the Donasti Cup (6-2-1) in San Sebastian, Spain, scoring 2 goals and 4 assists. It was an honor to experience European soccer and to be named Team Captain of the Albion National Elite team by our coaches. In 2024, I plan to play in the SLSG Spring Festival & Showcase in St Louis, again proudly representing the Albion National Elite team.
Our 23/24 season is off to a great start. We also had a successful run at the recent MLS Next Fest showcase in Phoenix, finishing top of our bracket, undefeated, with no goals scored against us (3-0, 2-0, 1-0). I contributed to the tournament with one goal and one assist.
