Whether it is snowing, below freezing, or 100 degrees in the sweltering sun, it always gives me the same heart-thumping joy when I walk onto a soccer field and put on my gloves. I've been playing competitive soccer as a goalkeeper now for eight years. In that time span, I had my ups and downs, extraordinary wins and crushing defeats. But throughout my journey, I have always strived to work as hard as possible to improve my skills and play. My soccer path began in 2016 when I played in the Presidio League at City SC (then LA Galaxy San Diego). Since then, I have moved up every season. Just over a year ago, I played my first game at the MLSNext level, and now I am the top keeper in my age group at my club. I thrive under pressure and love the responsibility that comes with being my team's keeper. Knowing I am the last man, I understand that my play can sometimes make or break a game. I see the confidence boost I can give my team in critical moments, like a heroic save that can sometimes shift the momentum of an entire game. I play confidently and love nothing more than making a save no one thought was possible. I value communication with my team and coaches on and off the pitch. I always try to have my teammates' back and contribute in every way I can to create a good team dynamic.
